Space invaders is a game where there is an invasion of aliens incoming and the player is a spaceship with four defensive structures. The player needs to prevent this alien invasion by shooting them before they get too close while attempting to accommodate the highest score possible.

The player moves left and right with the 'A' and 'D' keys and shoots with the 'Space' bar. Hitting an alien will add even more score onto the 'Score' counter and make the game go faster. Occasionally a red UFO will fly across the top of the screen and if the player manages to hit this UFO they will receive additional points. The points bring a competitive aspect into the game as players will compete against each other in order to achieve the highest scores.

The aliens go down towards the player as the game progresses, each level gaining in pace. The aliens shoot back down at the player, this starts off slowly however it also gets progresively quicker. The green defensive structures get damaged with every hit, even the player can destroy the structure by shooting it. If the player stands behind one of these then he is safe from attacks untill it gets destroyed.
