Gameplay Minecraft

Minecraft has very simple game mechanics. A player starts off with nothing, he can hit blocks and after a certain amount of time they will break and drop a resource. The player is limited to what he can break depending on what kind of tools he has.

Basic Gameplay:
The interaction model in minecraft is blocks and the enemies that you come across. The player has to interact within a certain hit box in order to do damage or destroy objects. The avatar that you originally play is an ordinary character called 'Steve'. The omnipresence would be the resources, monsters and animals that you encounter, they are always there unless you have a different world generated. The game can be played in single and multi player, the multi player enables other people to join your existing world but offers not additional features. There isn't a big narrative aspect to the game however the villagers and monsters that you come across in the world do have narration to them.

Dynamic:
Game settings consist of a wide variety of options such as graphical, audio and control settings. The physical aspects of minecraft include the combat and resource collection. The environmental setting of the game involves different randomly generated biomes. The goals and challenged involve searching for resources deep in caves. Dungeons can be found which are filled with loot and monsters guarding it, retrieving this loot comes with great rewards and resources can be forged into interesting equipment. Player actions can determine if  he recovers loot and resources, if the player is not good enough and doesn't respond quickly then he may perish and fail his journey.

Mechanic:
The difficulty of minecraft can be altered by the player ranging from Peaceful- Where monster's don't ever attack the player and the hunger doesn't decrease. Easy, Medium, Hard and Hardcore, each of these difficulties gets harder with each level, on Hardcore servers as soon as you die you don't get to carry on playing on that world, the world is deleted or if its an online server you get banned and cannot join back. The mechanics of the game work on the player hitting things in order to kill them, destroy them and receive items, the items that the player gains in the game are transferred into his/hers inventory. From the inventory the player can craft and sort items as well as drop and equip them. The scoring system in minecraft is mostly about XP or (Experience), this experience is gained when monsters are slain and when certain resources are collected. Experience can be used to enchant items using an enchanting table, this is a part of the reward system in the game. The game can be technically won once the ender dragon is defeated, to even have an attempt at this beast you will need to find the ender portal and complete it. The balance in minecraft
